This week we're reading "The Family Man" by Amy Cross. Halloween month rolls along with another horror classic. This one is actually pretty fucked up and kind of upsetting, so to offset the depravity of it all, we spend a lot of time NOT reading the book. You know, just like every other episode.

Hickory Dickory Dead

This week we're reading "Hickory Dickory Dead" by Cheryl Bradshaw. The third installment in our Halloween series, this one isn't that spooky but is very sexually liberating. Seventy year old Maisie Fezziwig stumbles upon a grisly murder scene right after a night of ravenous love-making with one in a series of geriatric gentleman callers. While most would report this to the police and wash their hands of it, Maisie is a busy-body who starts to investigate. This is another award-winning episode where we talk about Taco Bell for twenty minutes for no reason.

Fat Vampire 2

This week we're reading "Fat Vampire 2" by Johnny B. Truant. What better time of year to catch up with our old sad-sack friend the FAT VAMPIRE than Halloween? Our hero is still fat and still a vampire, only this time he's mired in red tape, trying to navigate the confusing bureaucracy of the Vampire underworld. Spooky stuff!

Moorehead Manor

This week we're kicking off an entire month of SPOOKY ebooks, just in time for Halloween. We're easing into it with "Moorehead Manor" by David McMullen-Sullivan, a YA novel about three teens who end up trapped in a haunted house. Kids will love this tale of suicide, infant death, and turn of the century medical horror.
